This campaign is a child-led initiative born out of the Voice for Change project, which aimed to create safe public spaces for children. As part of this project, children, adolescents, and youth actively engaged in child participation and campaign toolkit development, jointly implemented by Save the Children Sri Lanka, the Center for Children’s Happiness (CCH), and the Child Participation Community of Practice.
Inspired by their learning and collective voice, the participating children and youth came together to form a Children’s Media Hub. From this platform, they initiated a national campaign calling for a safe virtual space for every child in Sri Lanka and around the world.
The campaign began in the district of Jaffna and has since grown to the national level, urging government stakeholders, civil society organizations, the private sector, and parents to recognize their shared responsibility in ensuring digital safety.
Through this campaign, children and young people are not only raising awareness but also taking the lead in holding duty bearers and rights holders accountable. Their message is clear: every child deserves a safe, supportive, and empowering online environment.
Our mission is to champion a safe and empowering virtual space for every child. We will unite 300 dedicated super heros (volunteers), at least 20 civil society organizations, 20 private sector partners, and key government institutions to drive this cause. By the end of 2026, our campaign will reach 20,000 children, youth, and parents with impactful awareness, education, and advocacy. Together, we will amplify young voices, hold duty bearers accountable, and guarantee that every child can thrive safely and confidently online.

We hold ourselves and our partners accountable to the highest ethical standards. Every product, policy, and practice is guided by our responsibility to protect children’s rights and well-being.
Online threats evolve constantly, and so do we. We regularly review, improve, and adapt our safety measures to stay ahead of emerging risks in the digital landscape.
